Hazardous Hazzard, Part One

By BearCub648 (Julie Billings)

Disclaimer: I am a writer/photographer for a newspaper so I don’t get much free time to write on my own. That is why it has taken me forever to get this much of the story out. Please be patient with me. I’ll try to keep adding as often as I can. I hope you enjoy the story!

It had been a rough day for some of the Hazzard folk. A group of supposed environmental specialists had been hounding them all about selling their land and getting out of Hazzard. According to them, Hazzard really was hazardous. At first, they were not pushing but just suggesting to certain farmers that they leave. But they were growing more hostile by the day. The main piece of land that they seemed to want desperately was the Duke farm.

Trixie Coltrane tapped her fingers against the window ledge of her rented 1997 Firebird. She was edging closer to Hazzard County. She had’nt been there in 21 years. She was only 5 years old when her mother and step-father moved away to Altanta. She missed her Uncle Rosco and Aunt Lulu. In about 2 and a half hours, she willing be seeing them again.

But, the real reason she was returning back to Hazzard was the fact that she was planning a special issue for “Sophiscated Woman”. It was going to spotlight “life in a small town.” Hazzard was a small town and she was the editor, was’nt she?

She called Matt Andrews, top photographer and working exclusively for “Sophisticated Woman.”
“Matt, I want you in Hazzard in two days. I need you there for principal shooting. Get Missy, Sasha and Corinne out here in the same time. I have plane tickets for you four and a rental car to drive up in. You have your instructions and the map marked with the directions.”
“Yes, Trix. You’ll see us in two days. I understand you need to see your family and re-acquaint yourself with the town you left. How long has it been?”
“21 years, Matt, 21 long years. I was only 5 years old when Mom decided to move away…”

Out of Darkness, Part Two

by: Ameila Lynn

It had been two nights since Bo was brought into the hospital. Tara and Daisy
had saved both Bo and Luke from a witch who have killed them both. But in the Duke
household, the ordeal was just starting. The night Bo was brought home, the nightmares
started. It took Jesse and Luke to hold Bo down when the first nightmare came.
“Easy, boy.” Jesse said as he tried to comfort Bo.
“She was going to kill me, She was going to kill me.” Bo kept repeating. It took
two hours before Bo fell asleep. The rest of the Dukes were turning in when they heard a
bloodcurdling scream. Tara, Daisy and Jesse ran into Bo and Luke’s room. They saw Bo
clutching his hand to his chest. Sweat was sliding profusing down his body.
“Bo, what is it, darling.?” Daisy asked.
“My heart, she is trying to kill me. I swear, I swear.”
Tara sat on the side of Bo’s bed and held his hand. “It’s alright, Bo, I am here. She
won’t hurt you ever again. Lie down, honey. Try to sleep, ok. The doctor wants you to
rest.”
“Please, don’t leave, Tara. Please, don’t leave me.” Bo’s hand clung to Tara’s
hand.
“I am here, cousin.” Luke said as he put his arm around Bo’s shoulders.
“I want Tara to stay.”
“It’s alright, Luke. I will stay with Bo for the night.” Tara said as she still held
Bo’s hand.
Jesse and Daisy left the boy’s room with Tara in the dark. Bo settled into a
restless sleep. Tara stroked his brow and his cheek. The bruises were healing slowly.
The swelling on his face was going down. He was breathing regularly. Tara looked at
her cousin. He looked so helpless, trying to battle the nightmares in his head. Whatever
this woman did to him was taking it’s toll. She remembered as kids when she was so
scared crossing the street. But, Bo took her hand and helped her conquer her fear. Now,
here she was holding his hand and trying to help him conquer his nightmares.
Luke interupted her rememberances and her thoughts. “Are you tired? I think
he’s going to be ok. I’ll keep a eye on him.”
“Luke, that is sweet, but I think I better stay here. He might call out for me again.
I think I will call my marine core and tell them I will be staying here a little longer. I
can’t stand leaving Bo in the condition he is in.” Bo whimpered and stirred. “It is okay,
Bo, Luke and I are here. She won’t hurt you.” Bo settled back into his nightmareish sleep.

It’s a sunny, normal day in Hazzard. Who knew that it would turn out to be a
totally scary experience for the Duke family.Bo Duke parked the General Lee in front of
the general store. He was going in with a list that Daisy gave him. This was a special
occasion for the Duke family. Their cousin Tara was coming down from Atlanta. They
had’nt see Tara for ten years. The last time Bo had seen Tara, she was a skinny little girl
of nine. He was eleven and was growing like a weed. Tara always looked up to him. He
wondered what little Tara would look like now. Bo was 21, tall, blond and hansome. Bo
was so absorbed in thinking of Tara that he did’nt notice the mysterious woman in black
eying him.
“Morning .Mr Johnson, I’m just picking these here groceries for Daisy.” Bo
handed Mr. Johnson twenty, hardearned dollars. He saw the lady in black around the
entrance of the store. I wondered if she’s lost her way Bo thought. He walked towards
the woman in black. She was very pretty, but she was’nt like any of the girls around
Hazzard.
“Ah, miss, are you lost?”
She looked deeply to Bo’s eyes. “Yes, I am just visiting friends here in Hazzard,
but I seemed to have lost them.”
Bo remembered Tara. “Ah, I wish I could help, but I am late for my cousin.
Maybe I’ll see you again.”
“Maybe.” She walked away.”Yes maybe.”

Live Forever

He sat on the cold floor. He had opened his eyes just a few minutes ago. How did he
get here? His hands were bound around a small beam. He was in a golden cage. Then
he remembered how this happened. What got him in this situation, he was in. Was he
ever going to see his family, again? Was he going to see Luke, Daisy and his uncle Jesse.
What about sweet little Dixiana? She was his whole world. Why did he let his anger get
him in this trouble? His mind rolled back three nights previously. When it all started…
