CMT airtimes for Dukes of Hazzard episodes!

DukesofHazzardFanfic.comDukes of Hazzard News 2015

2015 is shaping up to be another good year for Dukes of Hazzard fans, with CMT showing more Dukes of Hazzard on their broadcast schedule! However, the CMT Dukes schedule is a little odd.

Since CMT likes to play hide-and-seek with their airtime schedule (now you see it, now you don’t!) we’re gonna copy and paste it right here:

The Dukes of Hazzard on CMT

  • Tuesday, January 06
  • 12:00 PM ET/PT
  • Wednesday, January 07
  • 12:00 PM ET/PT
  • Saturday, January 10
  • 6:30 PM ET/PT
  • 7:37 PM ET/PT
  • 8:44 PM ET/PT
  • 9:52 PM ET/PT
  • Sunday, January 11
  • 1:00 PM ET/PT
  • 2:00 PM ET/PT
  • 3:00 PM ET/PT
  • 4:00 PM ET/PT

You’ll notice it says “ET/PT” as if Eastern and Pacific time zones have the same broadcast time. We can only assume this is a typo, but don’t take our word for it. Also, Dukes of Hazzard airtimes on January 10 have fun variety such as 7:37 p.m. and 8:44 p.m. and 9:52 p.m. They’re just screwing with us to see if we’re paying attention. We are! It doesn’t help.

Please note, the CMT broadcast times for The Dukes of Hazzard apply to U.S. cable providers only. At this time, CMT remains the sole holder of broadcast rights for the Dukes of Hazzard, meaning you won’t find them on Netflix or Hulu. If that ever changes, we’ll let you know. CMT has owned the exclusive broadcast rights to the Dukes of Hazzard since obtaining them from TNN.

The only other way to watch Dukes of Hazzard is to own the DVD series for yourself, which is available through Amazon. You can also stream your favorite Dukes episodes on Amazon for a mere $1.99 each.

DukesofHazzardFanficDukes of Hazzard News: Good news for all Dukes of Hazzard fans that are going through Duke Withdrawal – the Dukes have returned to the CMT schedule!

It now appears that The Dukes of Hazzard will return to CMT on December 8th, 2014. Here’s a quick rundown of upcoming episodes!

Monday, December 8th at 12 PM Eastern: “The Boar’s Nest Bears”: Boss Hogg blackmails Bo and Luke Duke into coaching his basketball team for a high-stakes game.

Monday, December 8th at 1 PM Eastern: “Boss Behind Bars”: Jesse Duke has a wreck during a race due to sabotage, and Boss Hogg is framed as the culprit.

Thursday, December 11th at 12 PM Eastern: “Targets: Daisy and Lulu”: Daisy and Lulu unwittingly possess stolen gems, and are pursued by vengeful jewel thieves. The Dukes, Boss Hogg, and Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane go to great lengths to protect them – with Boss and Rosco dressing in drag!

Monday, December 15th at 12 PM Eastern: “Enos’s Last Chance“: A mob hitman who was captured by Enos escapes from prison, and comes to Hazzard County to collect revenge.

Tuesday, December 16th at 12 PM Eastern: “High Flyin’ Dukes“: The Dukes get all up in the air when Hazzard County farmers are threatened by crop-destroying extortionists.

Wednesday, December 17th at 12 PM Eastern: “Cooter’s Girl“: A young lady comes to Hazzard County to meet her father for the first time, surprising Cooter when he’s not exactly at his best!

Dukes of Hazzard airing on CMT

Watch Dukes of Hazzard on TVDukes of Hazzard News: CMT will be airing episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard on July 10, July 15, and July 25. This continues the tradition of random, unpredictable programming by CMT when it comes to airing the Dukes. Here are the details:

Thurs July 10: 2 Dukes of Hazzard episodes airing back-to-back, starting at noon eastern.

Tues July 15: Mini-marathon! 6 Dukes of Hazzard episodes in a row starting at 11:00 a.m. eastern.

Fri July 25: 4 Dukes of Hazzard episodes starting at 2:00 p.m. eastern.

The episode mix includes late-season groaners like “Robot P. Coltrane” and “Strange Visitor to Hazzard.” Mercifully, they’re not airing on the same day. There’s also some good eps you won’t want to miss: “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Duke” and “Go West Young Dukes” and “Cale Yarborough Comes to Hazzard.”  Check your cable listings to confirm local airtimes!

Dukes of Hazzard on air June 6, 2014…maybe!

BoandGL011814Dukes news! A Dukes of Hazzard marathon is scheduled for Friday, June 6 starting at noon eastern on CMT.

Per reports from fans, CMT has advertised this on their broadcast station, though it has NOT been updated on their facebook page or website.

For this reason, we’re sharing the news as we have it, but we can’t promise it’s 100% accurate, since CMT isn’t being consistent across its own media.

Cable TV schedules from Time Warner and Optimum also show the Dukes airing June 6 starting at noon eastern, 11:00 a.m. central. It’s interesting that CMT’s own facebook page and website isn’t confirming this as of yet. They’re probably too busy promoting “Party Down South.”

The Dukes of Hazzard Disappear from CMT Schedule; Temporary Hiatus or Discontinued?

BoLukeWaiting (2)Is it over so soon? After years of absence from the air, CMT had brought back The Dukes of Hazzard to its lineup last January, running multiple all-day marathons and daily episodes. Yet this particular return of the Dukes seemed a bit strange.

Maybe it was the fact that the Dukes of Hazzard episodes were aired in random order. Or the fact they were in such heavy rotation right off the bat. Or the fact that “Party Down South” commercials were given nearly as much airtime as the Dukes episodes. We speculated in a prior post that maybe CMT was just using the Dukes to pimp their other crappy programming.

Well…maybe they were. A quick visit to the Dukes page on CMT’s website shows no Dukes of Hazzard episodes scheduled in the upcoming week. Is it a short break while CMT organizes the summer lineup? Or dismissal until further notice? Given how CMT has handled the show – with heavy repetition of the same episodes, erratic air times and chopping for excessive commercials – it may be no loss.

CMT clearly capitalized on the popularity of The Dukes of Hazzard to promote Party Down South. After renewing the crap that is PDS for a second season, CMT appears to have shelved the Dukes again. We could be wrong. But having watched CMT vigorously promote, and then defend, PDS as the most popular offering in its lineup (which tells you how far this channel has sunk) we have little reason for optimism.
